Volunteer-Run Day Camps

Girls with facepaint

All of GSNorCal’s day camps are run by dedicated volunteers. To learn about each camp’s offerings for the current season, please visit their website.

Attending day camp can be an important part of the camp progression, helping campers to gain the confidence and emotional readiness to try sleepaway camp. Our volunteer-run camps offer girls enriching summer programs and quality camp experiences—just like our council-run camps. Many of the day camps are located across Northern California in areas like Alpine County, Humboldt County, and Pescadero at local community sites and parks.

Volunteer-run camps are all staffed by screened and trained volunteers. Parents can often attend with their girl in exchange for helping in different areas of the camp operation. Each camp handles volunteer registration differently. To obtain information about volunteering or registration, contact us at volunteercamps@gsnorcal.org!
