Register for Summer Camp

Group of girls playing in a stream

Registration is currently open to all campers for 2024.

Campers do not have to be Girl Scouts to register for camp! Our camps are open to everyone who identifies with the girl experience, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability. If you are attending a troop camp, family camp, or one of our council-run resident camps, please follow the steps below to sign up.

Here’s what to expect about Registration from start to finish:

Determine if Your Camper is Ready for Camp

Is your camper ready to try new things? Wants to make new friends? Can reach out for help if they need it? Is willing to help contribute in their camp community?

We have resources and a Frequently Asked Questions page to help determine if your camper is ready to join us for a summer of fun!

Decide Which Type of Camp You Want Your Camper to Attend

Different camps encourage different levels of independence. One of the main differences in our camps is whether your camper will stay overnight with us or only attend for the day.

  • Day Camp – Campers are dropped off at camp in the morning and picked up at the end of the day.
  • Sleepaway Camp – Campers stay at the camp overnight and aren’t picked up until the end of the session.

Some campers are ready to attend Sleepaway Camp right away, without previous camp experience. Other campers might be more successful starting at Day Camp before progressing to Sleepaway Camp.

When selecting a session, know that session grade levels reflect the school grade your camper will begin in the upcoming fall and also correspond to the Girl Scout program levels (Daisy K–1, Brownie 2–3, Junior 4-5, Cadette 6–8, Senior 9–10, Ambassador 11–12).

Find the Camp Location That’s Right for Your Camper

Find descriptions and locations of each of our camps.

  • Council-Run Camps – Camp Bothin, Camp Hidden Falls, Camp Sugar Pine, and Rainbow’s End Day Camp are our four council-run camps and are staffed by camp counselors. Our counselors join us from all over the world and go through extensive training before the start of each summer. Camp Bothin, Camp Hidden Falls, and Camp Sugar Pine are sleepaway camps.
  • Volunteer-Run Camps – These camps are staffed by screened and trained volunteers. Parents can often attend with their camper in exchange for helping in different areas of the camp. Both day programs and sleepaway programs are available at our volunteer-run camps.
