How to Register for Summer Camp

Girls do not have to be Girl Scouts to register for camp! Our camps are open to every self-identified girl without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability. If you are attending troop camp, family camp, or one of our council-run resident camps, please follow the steps below to sign up.

  1. Sign Up for a Session

Visit our online program search or download our 2019 Summer Camp Brochure (PDF) to see all of our current offerings, and follow the registration links included in each listing to start signing up. Once you register, you’ll receive a receipt indicating your daughter’s camp program, payment, and links to important information, such as packing lists, driving instructions, open house dates, and more.

Session grade levels reflect the school grade your girl will begin in the upcoming fall and also correspond to the Girl Scout program levels (Daisy K–1, Brownie 2–3, Junior 4-5, Cadette 6–8, Senior 9–10, Ambassador 11–12).

  2. Request to Camp with a Buddy

Girls can room with a buddy at resident camp if they are registered for the same program and session as their friend. To make sure your girl and her buddy are placed together, be sure to list them as "Camper Buddies" on each other's registration forms. Remember that placement with a buddy isn't guaranteed, so register both campers as early as possible.

  3. Pay for Camp

At the time of registration, you'll be asked to pay a $150 deposit for each girl-only session and/or a $50 per person deposit for Troop or Family Camp programs. For more information, read about paying for camp (by credit card, check, or Cookie Rewards Card) and learn about our financial assistance options.

  4. Know Our Policies

Read through our policies on cancellation, behavior, electronics, lice, and more.

  5. Get Ready and Get Excited!

Read over the post-registration e-mails you'll receive from gsnorcal@doubleknot.com (our event registration service), fill out any required forms, check out the Preparing for Camp section of our website, order a camp care package, and hang out with us out on social media to keep in touch as we get ready for summer fun!

Want to learn more about the GSNorCal camp experience? Join us for a camp information night, where caregivers, troop leaders, and girls can meet our camp leadership team, ask questions, learn more about registration and financial aid opportunities, and get all the information you need to join us for a memorable and fun-filled summer camp session!

Each camp information night will include a 30-minute presentation about each of the 3 council-run camps (Bothin, Skylark Ranch, and Sugar Pine), light refreshments, and a private space to chat with the camp directors about your camper’s special needs, if needed.

At the time of registration, individuals attending resident camp sessions may either pay the full amount or a $150 deposit (or $50/person for Troop and Family Camp programs). If only paying the deposit, your receipt will indicate the date that your final balance is due. Your final payment will be due four weeks before your camp session starts.

Paying by Check

If you would like to pay for the balance of your camp fee by check, please mail your payment and a copy of your receipt or registration number to:

Girl Scouts of Northern California 1310 South Bascom Avenue San Jose, CA 95128 Attn: Camp Registration

Using Cookie Reward Cards

Girls can also pay for all or part of their camp registration with the rewards they earn through the GSNorCal product programs. Girls who sell 3,000 boxes of cookies can earn a free camp session at any of our council-run camps! If you are not able to afford the camp deposit before your camper completes her 2019 product sales, please contact us at registration@gsnorcal.org. We want to make sure that your hard-working camper is able to use her reward cards towards the camp of her choice!

Financial Assistance

Any girl who lives within Girl Scouts of Northern California’s jurisdiction is eligible to apply for financial help to attend one of our Girl Scout camps! Learn more about our financial assistance options and get your application started early!
