No matter where you stay at camp, you’ll find a cozy place to rest your head and call home for your visit. The type of housing girls experience depends on the session selected. Bothin has a variety of sleeping accommodations, including dormitories, open-air cabins, and yurts.

Want to learn more about the GSNorCal camp experience? Join us for a camp information night, where caregivers, troop leaders, and girls can meet our camp leadership team, ask questions, learn more about registration and financial aid opportunities, and get all the information you need to join us for a memorable and fun-filled summer camp session!

Each camp information night will include a 30-minute presentation about each of the 3 council-run camps (Bothin, Skylark Ranch, and Sugar Pine), light refreshments, and a private space to chat with the camp directors about your camper’s special needs, if needed.

Activities By Choice Program

At Bothin, you can customize your camp adventure with our unique Activities by Choice program structure. In addition to their themed program agenda, campers will also have free-choice time where they get to make independent decisions on early morning and afternoon activities.

Before breakfast, campers can choose from Get Up And Move activities, like sunrise yoga, polar bear swims, dance parties, and journaling. In the afternoon, they can pick from even more activities, such as specialty arts, tinkering in the MakerZone, archery, high ropes, hanging out in the Bothin Organic Garden, fort-building, and drama skits. And for every new activity they try, they’ll receive an “Activity Bead” to show off their accomplishments—it’s a great opportunity for girls to experience all the fun of camp, their way!

Meet Your Camp Director

Kristi AKA "Gizmo"

Hometown: Johnson City, NY

Her Camp Cred: This is my 18th summer working at camp, my 14th with Girl Scout Camp, and my 9th as Camp Director. Having spent 4 summers as the Assistant Camp Director at Camp Bothin (’07-’10), I feel like I am coming home!

Why She's Excited for Camp: There are so many things about camp that I love, like campfires, being silly, and making new friends. I believe camp is a unique experience for girls because the staff have a passion for helping girls grow in a supportive and caring environment, and that every adult on staff, no matter their role, is there to provide girls with an extraordinary time.
